In a nutshell
It's a great time to join Technology at Virgin Atlantic as we embark on a number of exciting projects in our Technology department. Are you the next Scrum Master to join our team?
Working as part of our professional PM practice, your passion will deliver project to time and quality using Agile principles and Scrum practices.
Reporting to the Manager - Project Management, you'll be a member of a wider team of PMs (approximately 25).
Day to day
Guide the project team and wider business to use Scrum practices to deliver value to our internal and external customers
Guide the team to become self-organising
You'll take care to support and coach the Product Owner, especially in establishing and maintaining the product backlog
Remove impediments by identifying and engaging with the right people at the right time
Foster a high-trust, low-blame environment where issues can be raised in the spirit of collaborative problem solving
Assess the delivery maturity and coach colleagues to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
Implement the right controls so the project remains on target.
We'd love it if you hold a formal first or second level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) and use of project delivery tools (e.g. Atlassian JIRA/Confluence) but this is not critical.
Are you a dynamic, motivated teammate and can work in a methodical, meticulous and organised manner whilst being able to exceed customer expectations and make decisions? If so we would love to hear from you.
You will have experience leading a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, behaviours, and theory.
We're aware this is a long list of wants, however if you feel you don't tick every single box it's still worth submitting an application.
Our pioneering spirit and passion keeps our brand vibrantly alive. That's why we give our people the rewards that they deserve. We have a whole host of benefits in place to help you enjoy life to the full, as well as a world of travel opportunities including up to seven flights a year to a wide range of fabulous Virgin Atlantic global destinations. We also offer a competitive benefits package including pension and private medical schemes, life assurance, child care vouchers and excellent discounts across the Virgin Group of companies. We appreciate that life is busy, so when operationally possible remote working is available.
Be you - our differences make us stronger
