Test Manager

Spring Technology is working in partnership with a market leading FTSE 150 company to recruit a Test Manager to join them in their exciting new technical transformation. You will play a pivotal role in developing a Test Strategy, Test methodology, Test Plan, Test Governance and Test reporting in this company wide transformation.

The Company

You will be joining a FTSE 150 company with a global presence that is recognised as an industry leader. As the Test Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the test approach is clearly defined and will ensure best practice standards are adhered to, to promote a low risk, high-quality and cost-effective change delivery process working with both our client's on and off shore teams within an agile environment.

The Role

We are looking for someone who ideally has experience of creating a test function from the ground up, including developing the Test Strategy and approach.

The Responsibilities

*Developing a detailed test plan which will include all system integrations whilst ensuring appropriate resources are in place to carry out the testing

*Develop Test Scripts and control the sign off process including the review and sign off of test conditions, cases and steps

*Develop a UAT gateway and manage the end to end UAT process

*Ensure all test systems are in place and configured for UAT as per agreed test plan

*Ensure timely and quality business execution of test scripts and compile all test outcomes on chosen strategic solution

*Ensure test leads report issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process

*Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plans

*Perform triage, troubleshooting and analysis of issues and failures reported by team members to determine if the issue is a defect, enhancement, or user-error

*Work with the Project team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process

*Ensure a defect management & resolution process is in place and that the resources available to execute in both internal and external suppliers

The Requirements

*The ideal candidate will be hands on and a ISEB/ISTQG qualified Test Lead with strong IT Software testing experience in a business facing environment.

*Hold experience of creating a test function from the ground up, including developing the Test Strategy and approach.

*Solid track record of Software Testing management to include Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Execution in a regulated environment.

*Possessing exceptional stakeholder and 3rd party management skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.
