A well established Solihull based Software company who have been innovating for 30 yrs are currently looking to bring a new Java Developer into the business.The company build a number of products and within this role you will have direct effect on one of the most successful products. Clients of this company include British Airways, Bentley and Jaguar Land Rover. Currently the team are working on a large scale project to rearchitect the application using modern technology approaches moving it from a monolithic application to a Azure hosted Microservices application.
This is a complex product, if you are interested in getting your hands dirty and helping to develop products different from run of the mill generic business software this could be for you.
Must have skills for the role:
5+yrs writing commercial applications in Java
knowledge of the Java 8 JDK
knowledge of SQL
Proven knowledge of writing secure RESTful APIs
Previously handled message queues, e.g. AMQP, RabbitMQ
Test-driven mindset and knowledge of writing unit tests with JUnit
Ability to analyse and solve performance issues
