The company and role
A UK wide business with its head office in Liverpool city centre are recruiting for an automation tester to join their team. As an automation test engineer you will be working on a multitude of projects, which will consist of automation, performance and API testing. This role will be a hands on automation role with a big emphasis on performance testing.
Role also involves:Designing and performing end-to-end tests, exploratory testing, performance testing.Maintaining environments, services and network virtual systems that let teams test and develop independently of one anotherReview system performance and build into continuous integrationPlan document and execute non-functional test strategiesCode in Java
To apply for this role you will need some of the following:Knowledge of enterprise Performance Test tools, such as HP Load Runner, eggplant or JmeterProven in Agile delivery methodologies.knowledge of Backend and Integration testing.Knowledge of building delivery pipelines in Jenkins for Continuous Delivery.Strong UI Automation (Selenium) and (RestAssured) API background.Development and maintenance of automated Java test frameworks, complex automated tests, mocks and stubs and automated test data solutions.Knowledge of testing in a Micro services environment.Is able to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets, exhibiting thorough familiarity with available methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards associated with own area of specialisation and making correct choices from alternatives.
