Our Client seeks an Infrastructure Engineer for an Isle of Man based business. Relocation to the Isle of Man is essential for this role. 

Principal Accountabilities of the Infrastructure Engineer: 

To master, install, test and develop CIIM CPE communications products and services located primarily on customer premises and campus estates

Ensure successful delivery of customer premises communication and application solution requirements in line with group sales, design, transition targets and standards.

Document and package delivered solutions adhering to appropriate operational/maintenance and provisioning procedures to ensure the reliable managed services type operation of the delivered solutions to meet ongoing customer needs and service levels.

Assist in the development and execution of the CTIO group led "Managed Services" Portfolio

Working closely with experienced solution consultants, observe and assist in the service strategy, design, planning and execution of advanced customer facing communication solution projects.

In addition the Infrastructure Engineer will be required to:

Assist the Sales teams in the pre-sales and design duties of "Small and Medium Enterprise" customer and solutions.

Create, manage and adhere to strict "Statements of Works" and "Project Management" responsibilities within the project management methodology and framework.

When a solution or troubleshooting event requires additional expertise, provide customer assistance by escalating and reproducing the problem to internal or external development or manufacturer sources until a solution is reached.

Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with wider teams and Product Management

Mandatory participation in the local out of hour's standby and call out scheme with a contractual obligation to provide call out cover for CTIO Managed Services in operation. At all times delegating cover and maintaining priority towards planned Professional Services in advance of project engagements.

Participate in approved overtime in conjunction with Professional Services projects and events 

Whilst a valued peer of the businesses wider CTIO technical teams, to provide time managed and prioritised advice and support in other areas as required.

To coordinate and liaise with other manufacturers and suppliers associated with the deployment and ongoing support the customer base.

To include technical consultation in the selection of equipment vendors and other equipment/services.

Planning and evaluation/develop a sound understanding of new technologies and a perception of the practical applications and commercial implications of new and emerging technology in relation to IP / Core and associated services / applications.

To assist the sales and product teams with technical input for pre-sales bids.

Providing assistance to the management team as required for the preparation of performance, growth and budgeting information.

On occasion, provided available and able, to undertake formally requested projects of an ad hoc nature as required by the wider CTIO Engineering Group.

Undertake appropriate security awareness training covering information security, data protection, financial crime and payment card data and comply with their information security responsibilities. 

The Infrastructure Engineer should have:

Minimum requirement to maintain at least one of the following associate level qualification strategically in Cisco, Mitel,  Example Cisco CCNA or appropriate equivalent Mitel associate level.

A sound and solid understanding of telecommunications and application delivery methodologies including; IP Routing, Packet Switching, Voice and Video over IP, VoIP applications, IP, Firewall Security, Wired and Wireless LANS, Internet and VPN architectures, MPLS, VPLS, DMVPN, Carrier Ethernet, Legacy communications systems and standards.

Expectation to aspire and in partnership, commit personal time/effort in attainment of at least one professional level qualification strategically in Cisco, Mitel, Microsoft or Vmware: Example Cisco CCNP/CCSP/CCWP/CCDP, Microsoft MCSE, VMware VCP or appropriate Mitel Professional level.

Extensive product knowledge covering Cisco, Mitel, VM, Application and other industry standard solutions.

Be prepared to travel outside of the region in association with Solution deliveries.

Be able to demonstrate a track record of providing and focusing on customers and customer care, working quickly, efficiently and accurately in high pressures of time and fast-paced collaborative environments where they will be expected to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
