Technical Lead - background in Java, Scala or Python Role: Technical LeadLocation: Central ManchesterRate: £500 - £630 per dayLength: 3 months (Likely to extend beyond this)When do they want someone to start: ASAP SummaryI am looking for 2 Technical Leads to carry out some work with an extremely exciting client in central Manchester. You will have experience leading a development team and be able to drive best practice and coach and mentor along the way. This is a 70% hands off Technical Lead role. A successful technical Lead will be able to work to specific deadlines and have commercial experience in leading technical delivery of a project in a fast paced environment. Skills requiredExperience with Java, Scala or Python.Experience working within an Agile environmentExperience Coach/Mentor of junior members of teamExperience of leading technical delivery of product Desirable skills Experience setting up build pipelines.Experience Managing Data ingestion and processing operationsExperience with AWS, Azure or LambdaAn interest or better still, experience in the field of big data engineering.Experience with Kafka, Flink or similarExperience with data modelling and data warehousingNoSql Database experience like CassandraExperience with Hive, Impala or Presto.
