IT Configuration Manager

Spring Technology is working in partnership with a leading company in the Financial Services industry to recruit for an IT Configuration Manager based in Telford.

Salary: Up to £55,000 (Dependent on Experience)

The Role

The Configuration Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and audits the use of the Configuration Management process on an operational level.

You will report directly to the Senior Service Transition Manager and you will act as a the guardian for ensuring the day-to-day operational and management services are completed to maintain accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities

*To manage and monitor the CMDB

*To ensure that the Configuration Management process operates effectively

*To interact with IT Change Management regularly

*To monitor and control the Configuration Management process (using quantitative and qualitative Key Performance indicators)

*To provide process training

*To identify any opportunities for improvement

*To audit and review process and provide feedback

*To work with other ITIL Service

Requirements

*Strong experience and knowledge of Configuration Management principles and methodologies

*Good experience across ITIL disciplines specifically for Configuration and Change Management in a complex technology environment

*Good overall ITIL understanding

*Good knowledge of IT platforms, equipment & applications supported in relevant areas

*Ability to work flexibly under pressure, frequently using own initiative
