Global leader in networking solutions is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to be responsible for designing and implementing Linux network device drivers for a range of clients. You'll work to submit the driver changes to the upstream Linux kernel and will work with Tier 1 Linux distributors to include the latest changes. You'll work closely with the support team to provide expert insight into problems that customers are facing whilst tackling system level problems (both functional and performance related).

Requirements:

*Extensive commercial experience developing in C and likely to have Python development experience

*Expert level knowledge of Linux systems and ideally some experience of Networking, Ethernet or TCP/IP

*Proven experience of writing and maintaining high performance network drivers for the Linux Kernel

*Previous experience in debugging functional and performance issues

*Excellent record of academic achievement, having achieved a minimum 2:1 or above in Maths, Physics or Computer Science and ideally have gone on to study at MSc or PhD level

*Excellent communication skills
