Main Purpose of the Role
You will have the opportunity to work on projects providing robotic solutions for domains such as offshore oil infrastructure inspection and Port and Harbour security applications for various clients worldwide.
Support and training will be given to allow you to develop within the role and become a specialist in software engineering for maritime robotic systems.
This role is suitable for recent graduates or engineers with 1 year or less commercial experience.
The implementation will primarily focus on C++ (Windows and Linux). Basic knowledge of C# and/or Java is desirable, but not essential.
Required skills:
Graduated with a BSc or an MSc in Software Engineering or a similar numerical degree (2:1 or above)
Proficient in C++or demonstrable ability to learn quickly
Strong numerical and mathematical skills
Willingness to travel to support client demonstrations and trials.
Enthused to learn new technology
Experience (Academic or Commercial) in at least one of the following areas is desirable:
Autonomy / A.I.
Knowledge of data mining/machine learning /deep learning algorithms
Software verification and deployment
