Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (Office/Home Based, with some travel to client sites)

The Role 

As the Certification Manager, you'll be tasked with managing PPE CE certification and Medical Kitemark schemes. 

Overseeing onsite testing and ongoing manufacturing surveillance, you'll attend technical meetings with clients and committees to understand their needs and ensure our client's certification standards meet them. 

Your role will also involve: 

- Carrying out factory assessments 
- Interfacing with a global client base via email, telephone and face-to-face 
- Attending trade shows 
- Meeting with trade and technical committees 
- Contributing to the departmental income and regulatory requirements 
- Reading and understanding product specifications and directives 
- Discussing products at a technical level 

About You 

To be considered as a Certification Manager, you'll need: 

- A background in mechanical engineering and/or plastic technologies 
- Experience of devising complex test programmes for multiple product projects 
- The ability to read and understand product specifications 
- The ability to work independently and as part of the team when necessary 
- The ability to discuss technical issues with customers 

Ideal candidates may have experience as a lead auditor. Knowledge of product certification processes would be beneficial to your application. Knowledge of the PPE Regulation or European Directives in general would also be an advantage.
