I am currently working with a well-established and market-leading Engineering consultancy design and manufacturer based in Cambridge who are looking for a talented and ambitious LabVIEW Systems Engineer who is keen to join a small, high-flying team of engineers working on an array of exceptionally niche products supplying in to a vast array of industries.

You will be given complete autonomy and the opportunity to grow with the business during these exciting times after a successful merger with another company. The company is always looking for ways to improve so ideally a person who is innovative and not scared of bringing new ideas to the table.

Your role is to specify, design, implement and test solutions for customers. This covers all aspects of the development lifecycle from requirements capture to commissioning.
The role involves significant customer interaction and as such the LabVIEW Systems Engineer can often find themselves representing the company in discussions and during commissioning or helping prepare the technical aspects of a quote for the next piece of work.

If you're able to present to customers; work with customers to identify requirements; happy to work on a project independently and in a team; diligent with attention to detail; resourceful, proactive and pragmatic in problem solving; able to deliver to schedule; flexible and enthusiastic, then we would love to hear from you providing you also have the skills below.

Additionally, you must be able to travel as needed on occasion - many of the company's customers are local to the office and the development work is mostly done at offices, but some travel is required from time to time, especially as the company has offices in multiple locations in the UK which they work closely with.

You will have strengths in:
-LabVIEW development
-Developing Test systems for both hardware and software
-Control Systems development using National Instruments tools chain
-Strong knowledge of hardware and software
-Software to Hardware interfacing
-Degree in Software, Electronics or related subject

It could be beneficial to have additional skills in:
-Embedded software development
-Electronic hardware design
-Windows Software Development
-Software design using Matlab or Simulink
-Control Systems Development using the Beckhoff tool chain
