The role

Working in a busy marketing team, this is the perfect job for someone who wants to develop their marketing and communications skills across a range of different activities. Supporting two Marketing & Communications Managers, this role covers a wide range of responsibilities and would suit someone who likes variety and working with a lot of different people. This role supports the delivery of multiple marketing and communications campaigns including content creation (including video, blogs and other collateral), driving social media engagement, optimising the website, analysing marketing data and supporting events. With a focus on technology and innovative products and services, the company operates in interesting market sectors both in the UK and internationally. The role is located in Farnborough on a campus site with a café and subsidised canteen and there is also the opportunity to travel to sites around the UK in support of the Marketing & Communications Managers. Knowledge, skills and Personal Qualities Required Ability to help build marketing plans and deliver activity with experience of delivering marketing campaigns and analysing resultsAbility to multi-task and work to tight deadlines, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detailPassionate about everything marketing, with keen interest in new technologies, platforms and channelsExcellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisionsGood interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

Key Accountabilities Work with Marketing & Communications Managers to develop marketing plansSupport the delivery of marketing and campaign activity to dive traffic, engagement and leads.Work with the Digital Team to deploy content through the website and digital channelsAnalyse the impact and effectiveness of all marketing activity to help inform future plans and engagementWork with Marketing & Communications Managers to create and commission content for different channels (blogs, social media, website, intranet) to enhance engagement with key audience groupsEnsure all content, messaging and collateral aligns to QinetiQ messaging and represents the brand in the most effective waySupport events - attend events where required and help with creating messages and collateralKeep up to date with the latest trends in marketing, sharing this with the wider team to continuously improve engagement Qualifications and Experience Degree level educated or equivalent working experience1-2+ years' experience in marketing with experience of campaign marketingDemonstrable experience working in a complex stakeholder environment, with good relationship management skillsExperience of managing external agencies, contractors, designers and content producersExperience of editing and updating web content and analysing web analyticsExperience of deploying social media campaignsExperience of testing messaging and campaign activity to improve engagementBonus skills: HTML/CSS, marketing automation experience We look for outstanding technical people, creative and analytical thinkers, decisions makers, influencers and excellent communicators.
