Assistant Quantity SurveyorAssistant Quantity Surveyor | Consultancy | Reading This is an ideal role for a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning leading independent firm and are committed to providing top class support and training (including APC support).This PQS practice with over 100 years of history and pedigree within the UK's consultancy market. During their successful trading history, they have been involved in a number of high-profile projects including the Olympic Games, new stadia developments for word renowned football teams and entire new build shopping centres.The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will join a client focused team accountable for the commercial and financial performance on a variety of exciting projects ranging up to £20m in value as part of a major programme of works. Key duties and responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor may include but will not be limited to:The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.Individually or as part of a team operate processes for the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractorsPreparation of indicative cost budgets, appraisals and elemental cost plansProviding advice on procurement strategy and preparation of contract documentsScrutinising and verifying applications for interim paymentsProvide advice and opinion in respect to client development plans and expectations Key requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role: Degree qualified, ideally in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical disciplineDesire to become MRICSPrevious experience managing complex projectsPrevious experience working for a construction consultancy or user end clientExperience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract servicesCost planning and feasibility experience.Proven ability to communicate confidently with clients, contractors and consultants Remuneration for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.Discretionary bonus.Fast tracked career development.Great pension scheme.Car or travel allowance How to apply for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position:If you are interested in this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position then please apply via this job board or alternatively you can send an up to date CV to Dexter Ifill on [email protected] or call me on 0118 9522 240.Project Resource are an equality and diversity recruitment agent and employer.
