Java Web Developer - Swindon/Uxbridge - £50k to £60k DOEWe dream and build digital journeys that matter to millions of users. You will be joining a team of specialists working on cutting-edge tech projects for major brands based all over the world.
Job Duties:
• Designing and implementing software solutions using efficient, secure and clear code following industry and company standards.
• Collecting, understanding and transmitting clients' requirements.
• Providing guidance, transferring product knowledge and consulting to new and existing customers with technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Partners and work alongside the rest of the team.
• Providing technical guidance and assistance to other members of the team.
• Reporting progress and problems to designated Project Manager.
• Document applications - write technical documentation to the application they are working on to maintain a high extensibility of the code in the future including code comments, technical documentation, installation and maintenance procedures descriptions.
• Developing technical skills - becoming more skilled in technologies used within the company, learning new frameworks, project methodologies, design patterns etc.
• Introduce new solutions and ideas to the company to improve company processes following company technological trends
Skills/Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills - fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Good 'people skills' to work with a range of clients and colleagues
• Professional manners
• High level of technology awareness
• Team working
Qualifications:
• 3+ yrs of Java development commercial exposure
• Very good commercial knowledge of Java Enterprise, Maven, Spring, Spring Boot and testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Good knowledge of different software development methodologies and frameworks
