C# & SQL Developer

City of London

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Spring Technology is currently working with a highly established central government organisation to recruit a C# & SQL Developer based in the City of London. As a C# & SQL Developer you'll be joining a team whose sole responsibility is development, maintenance and operational support of the client's website and portal.

The Responsibilities:

*To contribute as necessary to the on-going development of the clients Website, Portal and other digital products.

*To participate in a continuous improvement programme aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the technology function within the company.

*To ensure that relevant project information is kept current and accurate.

*To adhere to agreed development methods to ensure that work performed is secure and to the highest quality.

*In addition to their primary technical role, the post holder is expected to contribute as a thought leader / mentor within the development team and to be able to assess the benefits of using certain technologies and approaches e.g. microservices, containers, DevOps, cloud based services etc.

*The incumbent will also help to embed peer reviews of code as part of the clients SDLC.

The Requirements:

Essential:

*Extensive experience of full stack web application development.

*Strong knowledge of server side and client-side technologies including; C#, JavaScript and SQL (including frameworks such as Angular JS, Vue JS etc.) Object Orientated Programming (OOP) and Test driven development (TDD)

*Git

*VSTS (Azure devops)

*OAuth

*REST API development (Swagger docs etc.)

*Microsoft SQL Server 2012+

*Experience of modern design patterns and able to produce detailed technical solution designs.

Desirable:

*Mobile development (e.g. Xamarin)

*Highcharts

*DevOps

*Some practical knowledge and experience of SharePoint development would be advantageous.

*Experience of building mobile applications is desirable.

*Containerisation

*Microservices

*Graph databases / big data

*Automated testing
