Working with the Core Systems Manager you're accountable for creating, leading and delivering a prioritized backlog of change for Virgin Holidays supply chain covering hotels, flights and other product types.
Working with business partners you'll write new requirements assessing their value and size as well as their impact on operational robustness, and how they link to the wider organisational strategic goals and plans. This will in turn create a continuous optimisation culture which effects change in both systems and processes.
Creation of and management of a transparent, prioritized, estimated single backlog of user stories / epics that will delivered in development sprints.
Co-present cases for approval with partners and collaborate with other product owners in different delivery groups to maintain a balanced portfolio of work.
Do you have extensive Product Lead experience from a fast-paced complex domain? Have you worked with senior partners to shape product development roadmaps that align with strategic goals? Ideally you'll have scheduled air tour operating experience in an environment where product was sourced via technical connections from a variety of globally distributed suppliers, or experience of an equivalent domain for example retail or gaming.
You'll work alongside fellow techies but you'll need to adapt your communication to a non-technical audience. You'll have the ability to tell and sell an engaging story to all levels of the organisation. You'll have experience of performance and scalability testing and operational monitoring and fault diagnosis and a demonstrable understanding of Java constructs and cloud-based architectural principles.
