Cloud Engineer. Oxford. Global Artificial Intelligence company is looking for a dedicated Cloud Engineer to help ensure its flagship application is continually available and performing to agreed criteria for all customers across the globe.

Skills and experience

Previous experience of running a cloud based application for 3rd party paying customers.

Experience of providing operational support and monitoring of applications in MS Azure.

As a stand alone role it requires an individual who is both proactive and pragmatic with strong communication skills. The Role:

Administration

Setting up new customer - Setting up instance, creating account for superuser.Resetting passwords for superusersClosing accounts if required

Platform

Monitoring performance of all active customer instances on MS Azure.Monitoring of platform security both internally (access by users etc) and externally (DDOS threats etc)

Application

Setting up reporting of errors/issues in BioVolume application. Using logs and activity monitoring to identify failures, incompleted tasks/routines or system errors.

Setting up reporting capability to track application use and statistics (number of users, scans taken, average scan time etc) to monitor performance of the application

Customer Support

Working alongside the Customer Support Executives to help triage and diagnose customer support issues. Provide user specific activity tracking/logs to identify what tasks/actions a user has executed prior to/post an issue occurring.

Developing proactive/predictive tools/reports to identify potential problems based on activity in the system.

Resource and cost monitoring

Monitoring of the usage and cost of cloud resources.
