We are looking for a motivated and able Technical Support Services Consultant  based out of our Yeovil Office, to provide full technical support of Double First products used by schools, including implementation and post-implementation technical support on school and hosted (AWS) infrastructure.

The role will also provide technical support for internal Double First systems, including liaison with third parties and other group companies where necessary. Plus maintaining our cloud hosting environments and providing excellent customerservice.

After the initial training period, during which the working hours will be 0900-1700, normal working hours will change to 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 on a shift pattern, with some bank holiday cover. This shift pattern may change over time to include morning and Sunday shifts, so flexibility is the absolute key.

Role Requirements include:

Excellent IT literacy with sound working knowledge of MS Office products including Office 365

Sound working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including SQL backups and database restores

Sound working knowledge of networking technologiesand the ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issue between computers

Experience of setting up Remote Desktop technologies

Experience of dealing with NTFS sharing and Security Issues

Sound working knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

Sound working knowledge of webserver technology such as IIS

Experience working with enterprise anti-malware products

Experience of VPN technologies

Working knowledge of AWS EC2 and VPC

Experience of producing technical documentation andcase notes in good written English

Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexibly, under pressure, and escalate issues as appropriate

Excellent customer service abilities and instincts

Ability to work alone with minimum guidance after the training period

Driving licence and ability to drive cars in the UK and overseas to visit clients as required

Ability to work on-call per on-call policy and work contractual hours
