Senior Java Developer / Java Architect (Java J2SE Spring Low Latency JMS). Global FTSE 250 trading firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer / Architect to help shape the technical architecture for the core Trading Exchanges.

As a Senior Java Developer / Architect you will be responsible for engineering distributed systems and micro-service architectures. You will work across the full development lifecycle, understanding the problem and engaging with stakeholders. You'll support development teams, promoting best practice and improving visibility of the technical direction through provision of architectural principles and technical roadmaps, transparency on flows and systems and communicate the bigger picture to encourage collaboration and drive continual improvement.

You'll based in open plan City based offices with a range of facilities and break out areas including pool table, ping pong table and roof terrace. There's a good work / life balance including flexible working hours and the option to work from home for part of the week.

Requirements:

*Significant core Java J2SE design and development experience

*Strong knowledge of Spring framework and JMS

*Experience of building transactional distributed systems and microservices architectures

*Experience of developing high performance / low latency, resilient server applications

*Collaborative team member, keen to share knowledge and continually improve

*Nice to have: FIX protocol and connectivity

As a Senior Java Developer / Architect you will earn a highly competitive salary (to £110k) plus bonus and benefits package.
