Database Administrator

You will be responsible for the development and support of a resilient and robust database infrastructure to support database and application requirements for delivery of the Corporate Information Systems for UEA. This post is a key part of a small team responsible for database administration across the supported database platforms (currently SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL).

You must have a degree (or equivalent qualification) and/or demonstrable relevant commercial database experience. Demonstrable experience of database administration using either SQL Server or Oracle database systems is also essential  together with knowledge of the administration, installation and optimisation of either Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (or higher) or Oracle 11gR2 (or higher). You will be self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team. The role holder will be expected to participate in the out of hours cover scheme.
