We're looking for an Application Support Engineer to support several bespoke software applications. The primary function of this role is to provide day to day application support as well as being one of the primary points of contact and escalation for our global customer base. In addition, you will provide assistance to our Development Team and Network Team to identify and remedy technical issues and to test new features and functionality. This opportunity comes with great career development options in the wider global business structure.The Application Support Engineer will:Manage and resolve incidents and requests in line with defined SLAs, keeping business stakeholders informed at all times of progress.Act as an escalation point for 1st line Application Support EngineersWork with the Development/Delivery Teams to carry out testing as required. Be able to work on a shift basis that will include weekend standby work on a rota basis.Create and maintain quality documentationExperience in supporting custom bespoke software applications.Ability to quickly learn and master bespoke company-specific software.Excellent communication both verbally and in writing.Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.Knowledge of Visual Basic scripting.Excellent knowledge of MS SQL and experience in writing complex queries.Thorough knowledge of MS server OS'S 2000 - 2012
