ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

When joining us as a Software Engineer, you'll be aligned with one of our agile product teams, working together with other specialist engineers but also with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, Architects, QA, DevOps, and Customer Support.

Built by some of the most innovative, experienced people in the business, FreeWheel Advertisers' platform powers the advertising campaigns for over 7,500 media buyers at 1,200 agencies and advertisers across the U.S. and Europe, processing more than $50bn per year. Our scalable, open architecture gives our clients the flexibility to handle all types of media - from print to TV to digital. As part of FreeWheel, a Comcast Company, we provide the technology, data enablement, and marketplace integrations to allow buyers and sellers to transact across all screens, all data types, and all sales channels.

As we expand into new markets and further develop our product suite, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and contribute to your team's product roadmap, coming up with sound technical designs and solutions to challenging problems our users face today or upcoming market trends

Build with our tech stack and tooling, including .NET 4.7/Core, Web API, Entity Framework, ReactJS, Typescript, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, AWS, GitHub, and CI/TDD practices

Work with colleagues and clients across the full product development lifecycle, gaining deep knowledge of our platform, and particular areas of our clients' business to help you contribute as part of an agile team

Lead in moving our products forward and eliminating technical debt

Follow our agile Scrum process, working in sprints together with the rest of the team to deliver timely, high-quality features

ABOUT YOU

While these characteristics outweigh any specific technical skills, you should be able to demonstrate some of the below:

Excellent knowledge of ASP.NET and its ecosystem (C# 6.0, Web API, EF, LINQ, etc.)

In-depth knowledge of OO / SOLID concepts

Commitment to high quality and easy to maintain code, with experience in unit testing / TDD practices

Experience with crafting, implementing, and shipping ASP.NET web applications

Passion for delivering elegant technical solutions that not only meet product team and client expectations, but are also underpinned by code that is clear, concise, and maintainable

Strive to work and collaborate in a multi-disciplines team, where you can work with, learn from, and teach not just Engineers but also Product Managers, QA, UX, etc.

Experience with SQL and relational databases, in particular Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, in particular ReactJS
