Database DeveloperLiverpool BasedAbout the role:You will work closely with the development teams to ensure the flow of data through the business is given the required consideration at the back end right through to delivery to end users.Exciting job opportunity to become part of a dynamic Data Management and reporting team. You will be in command of developing, testing, maintaining and improving both existing and new databases ensuring they run smooth on a daily basis.This role will allow you to work alongside development teams, supporting the movement of data within the business, working to support the back end through to the delivery of end users. Responsibilities:Monitor database system performance, implement changes and implement new patches and versions when necessaryBuild stable and reliable databases on demand to support companies needsDesign reliable databases to store companies dataIdentify and solve problems that may occur within database and use of databaseWork alongside developers ensuring that applications are transported using best practice standards.Interpret operator requirements into tangible technical solutionsBe responsible for data management in order to resolve user queriesSustain and help to progress company database operating requirements.Study new technologies and products in assistance to maintenance and distribution of database servicesCarry out tests and evaluations frequently to ensure data security, privacy and integrity About you:Past involvement working with database developer/administratorHands on practice with Transact SQLCapability of understanding front end user requirementsExceptional analytic and problem-solving skillsOutstanding knowledge of data backup and recovery proceduresYou should be skilled when it comes to Database design and documentationPast experience with Database security and integrity.Experience being the key decision maker and able to demonstrate problem-solving skillsAble to work effectively as a teamexcellent time-management skills are essentialexceptional interpersonal and communication skills are requiredkeen eye for paying attention to detailAbility to be objective when need be Desirable:Excellent MSSQL skillsViewsVBAQlikviewT-SQLAPISSISSSRSStored proceduresAzureETLBenefits:Competitive Salary ranging from 30-35k depending on experience22 paid days holiday plus bank holidaysFlexi time is available, you would be able to generate up to 11 days holidayDeath in servicePension schemes availableTunnel tag - salary sacrifice scheme
