Oracle DBA to support, maintain, and administer specific customer Oracle database systems and SQL Servers, and to ensure that the service provided to customers needs, the established Service Level Agreements and quality standards.

Location: Norwich, Crew, Birmingham or Beeston

Market Rate

Duration: 3 months

Essential Requirement:Oracle certification (OCP or OCM) in relevant Oracle versions is desirable.HNC, bachelors degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science) is desirable;Additional formal technical training in relevant technical area is advantageous.More than 5 years of experience.Good analytical skills and an ability to define the precise nature of customer problems;Ability to conceptualise problems;Ability to give specific and clear instructions and problem-solving advice;experience of working in DBA teams as a team member;Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive;Ability to work well in a team;Ability to contribute to the definition and structuring of projects;Good communication skills (both verbal and written);

Technical Experience:Good knowledge and experience of current versions of OracleGood knowledge and experience of current Oracle technology on both Unix and Windows platforms;Knowledge of algorithms / methodologies for installing Oracle, and building and configuring an Oracle database according to customer requirements;Knowledge and high degree of skill in diagnosing problems, including performance problems;Sound working knowledge of MS Office;Skills and experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

- RAC,

- Data Guard,- Scripting and automation,

- RMAN.Ability to produce, structure and maintain technical documentation;Maintain high awareness and keep up to date with advances in Oracle technology;
