The Role:

As a network manager you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills by managing the company's data networks, load balancing and firewall infrastructures. You will be responsible for the operation and administration of all the networks within the company to ensure that all services are available to clients across all networking technologies. The role covers a comprehensive range of activities such as incident management, change management, vendor and supply management, problem management, and release management.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

* Ensuring the network is running optimally at all times whilst monitoring networks for performance in line with agreed SLA.

* Optimising billing by managing supplier relationships whilst ensuring the business is receiving the most cost effective technologies and providers.

* Designing and implementing strategic plans, both short and long term, to ensure the network capacity is meeting the future and existing requirements.

* Providing recommendations on protocols and services by conducting research to further develop the infrastructure developments.

* Managing the network team effectively across different sites, making sure they are up to date in their training and knowledge.

* Proactively making sure the team has the sufficient tools to complete their role successfully, training new team members and recommending changes to the work place to further benefit the environment and the overall efficiency of the business.

* Providing data reports such as performance statistics and development strategies/road maps for maintaining the network infrastructure.

* Conducting analysis on the long term financial forecasts of the network whilst also managing the operational costs.

* Preventing system failures by proactively monitoring the network and identifying the root cause with the aim of resolution.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Excellent management skills

* Experience in handling budgets and calculations

* 3+ years of being in a position of leadership of a technical team working in a similar position in a corporate organisation.

* CCNA Qualified

* Effective communication both written and verbal to team members and third party providers.

* Strong customer service skills and self-motivated,

* CCNP level, ITILv3, Netscalers, LAN, WAN and routers protocols , ASA firewalls, checkpoint firewalls, load balancing technology Cisco switching and routing firewalls.

Benefits:

Starting salary of £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience plus a comprehensive company benefits package + company car OR car allowance!
