Mainframe Application Developer - Portsmouth/Havant - 5 Month Contract

My client, a leading technology consultancy are looking to hire 3 Mainframe Application Developers on a contract basis till the end of September 2019. The positions are for an immediate start and will be based between a client site in Portsmouth and customer site in Havant. The client can offer from £300-£350 per day and are looking to interview next week.

Role Background:The customer have recently moved to my client for the full delivery of a large scale project which includes the management of the production service for a customer service system.You will be part of a wider global team responsible for any changes being made to the customer service system.

Required Skills:Candidates should be well versed with COBOL as the role will involve customer development on a bespoke mainframe application.Candidates should also be familiar working in a structured way with regards to programming as well as ensuring quality and security with the application.Prior experience of working within the energy and utilities industry is of interest but is not essential.Candidates should be eligible and willing to undergo basic background checks prior to joining my client.
