Business Planning Analyst (Finance Business Partner) - Coventry - Initial 6-month contract Our client in the utilities industry requires a Business Planning Analyst (Finance Business Partner) to join their team based in Coventry on an initial 6-month contract.

The role:You will be part of a team which provides financial support to the central regulatory team and co-ordinates the forecasts, budgets and longer term operational and strategic business plans.You will provide insights and modelling capability whilst playing a vital role in the strategic direction of the business.

Key SkillsExperience of working in a Commercial Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis / Business Planning role/functionExperience of working in a regulated industryYou should be able to work independently and consult appropriately.Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate and rationalise outcomes based on variations in the inputs or modelling assumptionsYou should have the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data/issues to stakeholdersYou should be confident and proactiveAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelYou should be able to work collaboratively with different teams.

Qualifications Required:A part or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)Qualified by experience will be consideredDegree or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:Creating, developing and managing complex and robust cost models.Conducting audits to a professional, ethical and quality standards with adherence to strict timescales.Identifying areas of improvement during the audit process and making recommendationsProducing well written Audit Reports and terms of Reference documents.Ensuring audit progression by collaborating with the Corporate Audit ManagerDefining the scope and testing approach to address key risks.Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Background Screening:

You should be willing to undergo any screening checks carried out by the client. Once on site, you will need to undergo adhoc alcohol and drugs tests.
