We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our Functional Systems team supporting the Oracle HR and Payroll system.
Oracle is the core Finance, HR and Payroll platform for Norfolk County Council.  The team provides technical development and user support for Oracle EBS and other non-Oracle related systems to a wide range of customers including NCC employee, Schools, the Fire Service and external customers.
The role is focused on the functional configuration of the EBS HR & payroll system.  Norfolk County Council provides a payroll service to both internal and external customers therefore you will be responsible for resolving user incidents, testing Family pack upgrades and configuration of payroll.
There will also be opportunities to be involved in the replacement of Oracle project to help support, inform and develop the new ERP system.
You will be joining an existing support team and will need a strong knowledge of UK Payroll.  This is fast paced environment and you will be managing ever changing priorities, the ability to work under pressure and have strong communication skills.
Essential skills and/or knowledge include

Ability to read and write SQL to understand payroll formula's
In depth understanding of UK Payroll legislation
Advanced excel skills to write and support macro's.
Relevant qualification in IT to HND or Degree level
An aptitude for applying IT based theories and practises to produce effective solutions
