Head of Infrastructure and Operations

Spring are working in partnership with one of the largest and most respected organisations in Sheffield to recruit a Head of Infrastructure and Operations.

Your main responsibilities will be:

* To lead, manage & coordinate the activities of the IT infrastructure team - Current Team Size is 25, with future growth plans

* Manage the maintenance and BAU services of the network and computing infrastructure.

* Act as a lead advocate and owner of Infrastructure Operations as a Service strategy, roadmap and delivery.

* Take a lead in planning, designing, developing, and adapting IT systems and new technology with significant impact, e.g. storage, cloud services, directory services, network infrastructure & management, virtual servers.

You will need:

* Significant experience in the management and direction of large, complex, distributed technical teams

* Technical competence across major technologies in the following areas: Server, Storage, networking, Security, Virtualisation and specifically Cloud / Hybrid cloud solutions

* Inspirational and dynamic management style, with the vision to drive change

* Significant Capex and Opex budgetary management experience

* Proven track record in the design and successful delivery of enterprise scale IT systems and services
