Excellent opportunity for a talented Junior / Graduate level Front End Developer with JavaScript React skills to join a cloud-based workflow software company used globally. The role offers an excellent salary, development opportunity and the option to work remotely 2 days per week (no commute!)
We were formed by a team of experienced research scientists and software engineers, with the vision of improving life science research & development project delivery through better team working. Founded in 2012 and located in Alderley Park BioHub (Cheshire UK), we created our innovative cloud-based workflow management tool to set a new industry standard for scientific project delivery through team working.
We use a modern, open-source technology stack including Python, ReactJS, MySQL. Everything we create is built for the cloud, using terraform & docker to orchestrate the 50+ AWS components.
We deliver quality software efficiently through agile development, collaborative working, regular code reviews and continuous integration. We are looking for an enthusiastic junior developer to join our small team in South Manchester.
This role would be ideal for a new graduate or somebody early in their development career. The most important quality we require is enthusiasm for technology and a desire to learn quickly to be able to grow as a developer. We will train you up to be able to work confidently on any part of our stack.
Ideally you will have some experience within the industry with a focus on Front End Development. We are looking for someone with strong skills in Typescript/JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Experience in JavaScript frameworks, in particular ReactJS, would be of benefit as well as experience in the use of Jest, Storybook and Cucumber for testing. Enthusiasm for Agile, Continuous Delivery approaches and best practices, such as Continuous Integration, TDD, BDD, DDD, Infrastructure as Code etc is advantageous.
Junior / Mid Front End Developer Responsibilities include:
+ Creating front end prototypes
+ Creating code-base and maintaining
+ Iron out issues/bugs in existing development work
+ Development using ReactJS, Typescript
