Reporting directly to the Lead DevOps engineer you will be a valued member of the digital delivery centre team, contributing to the strategic direction of the technology and solutions delivered. With the movement towards integration and automation you will focus on testability, robustness, and performance for exciting new projects. Essential Skills & Experience:Node JS/ Java programming experienceDeep knowledge of the STLC & a passion for Software QualityCollaborative skills - being open to pair programming and working closely with Developers, Designers and DevOps engineers in cross functional teams.Experience in defining automated test environments forming part of the continuous integration pipelineUnderstanding of Software Quality tools/frameworks (SonarQube, Robot)Strong problem-solving skillsScripting language or coding experience (Including bash and one other language)Willingness and ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives.Understanding of test and behaviour driven development.Experience of running software in productionDesirable:Experience building, customising, deploying, and managing the environment/ test automation frameworksExperience verifying products scalability, reliability, consistency, and performanceA practical understanding of Cloud Native principles and techniques such as Microservices, Containers, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure-as-code.Understanding of Configuration Management tooling (Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc)Exposure to Gherkin syntax.
