We are passionate about training, technology and career development.Job PurposeThe Business Planning Analyst will sit within the Business Planning team, who have accountability for overall business level planning activities including the co-ordination of forecasts, budgets and longer term operational and strategic business plans.The Business Planning Analyst will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the business, providing valuable insights and modelling capability to support the business objectives/initiatives, thus enabling senior stakeholders to make well-informed tactical and strategic decisions.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for the creation, development and management of complex and robust cost models.Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders and work effectively with various finance and business stakeholders in supporting the cost forecasts and internal plans.Define and agree detailed project plans with key stakeholders and monitor progress to ensure key milestones and deadlines are met.Proactively contribute to the development of a highly motivated, innovative and customer focused Finance team.Support the delivery of change across Finance and the business, embracing new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability.Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Technical Know HowProven ability to act quickly, who is intellectually curious, who can work independently and consult appropriately.A confident personality who enjoys building relationships.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to validate and rationalise outcomes based on variations in the inputs or modelling assumptionsEffectively interpret and communicate complex financial data/issues to both senior finance and non-finance stakeholdersWork flexibly, prioritise effectively and handle multiple tasks within strict deadlinesPrior exposure within a Commercial Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis / Business Planning role/function preferable Qualifications Required:The role requires a part or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)Degree or equivalentFP&A - Desirable If you have the relevant skills please submit your CV in the first instance.
