Data is at the heart of the City & Guilds Group's activities, helping ensure we deliver our purpose with ever greater impact over the years ahead.
In turn that means we must have a sound security architecture that underpins our technology platforms. By integrating measurable, demonstrable security metrics in everything we do, we will protect the City & Guilds Group's brand and foster confidence and trust with our customers.
About the role
As Head of Information Security & Data Privacy you will establish and maintain our information security and data governance approach, ensuring that information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected in the digital ecosystem in which we operate. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on legal and regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risk to information assets, while supporting and advancing our business objectives.
To succeed in this role, you'll need deep understanding and experience gained from developing information security and data privacy policies and procedures, and be confident communicating this to stakeholders throughout the organisation.
You'll be knowledgeable about both internal and external business environments, proactively working with business units and ecosystem partners to implement practices that meet agreed-on policies and standards for information security and data privacy.
This is a senior role and will commonly involve directing virtual teams and reporting regularly on progress to the Management and Trustee Boards, so you'll need excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, ensuring you are able to meet the needs of the business.
