Data Governance Manager - Leeds - up to £60,000 + Average Salary Pension + 46 days holiday (inc bank holidays)

A leading public sector organisation that seeks a talented Data Governance leader to shape how data is managed across a complex organisation.

Role

We require a proven data governance manager to implement best practice risk based governance and management of information. The role will be to shape and manage a data governance team and give the candidate autonomy to shape the structure and data governance frameworks across a 2500+ sized organisation. You will be working closely with internal business units to give guidance on data governance.

You will be partnering with IT to provide to further develop data governance capabilities, and managing change projects to implement new data governance policies and solutions.

You will be responsible for the organisation's publication scheme and own obligations relating to data access, data protection and freedom of information.

Key skills and experience

* Data Governance expert with experience implementing data frameworks

* Management of data team

* Experience in working to ISO27001 best practice

* Project Management experience
