Role: PMO Analyst

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Bristol We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Programme Office Analyst to join the Portfolio Office in our Bristol office

Key activities are:Co-ordinating the resource demand planning process through planning meetings, ownership of the resource plan data, analysis and production of supply vs demand reports and resourcing optionsC-coordinating portfolio governance that takes projects through an approval and delivery gating process. Supporting stakeholders through the process, performing configuration management audits on deliverables and supporting the Portfolio Office Manager in assuring quality audit actions are addressed.Experience in project and programme lifecycle and working within governance and control processes. To assist Portfolio Office Mngr in the performance of process reviews and improvements and ensuring adherence of projects to these processesTraining of Tools and processes used eg Service Now/VSTS (Azure DevOps) (project management tool) for Project teams and providing ongoing support and guidance.Use of Service Now to extract MI and analyses of project healthAnalysis of data and formulating MI for management decisionsTo regularly monitor each project against agreed measures and to escalate problems where necessaryAssist the Portfolio Office Manager by providing analysis, reports and answering 'what if' questionsEnsure 3rd Party Work Requests are processed according to agreed measuresProduce summary reports for senior management at required intervalsAnalyse data, identify trends, challenging content and producing reports with recommendations for action to improve data quality and delivery at a programme levelDefine and develop reports and ensure continual improvements are madeCarry out data quality assurance of the budget forecasts and actuals supporting month end processesDemonstrate and maintain understanding of planning tools and methodologiesDrive and ensure the governance process is adhered to within the programmeDrive achievement of quality standards in the delivery of all Project Office servicesRecommend ways to improve the effectiveness of the programme through existing processes and procedures - and to implement agreed recommendations under the direction of the Portfolio Office ManagerBuilds effective, partnership relationships with related functions.Has a strong service/customer focus, able to demonstrate an ongoing, practical understanding of the needs of internal and external customers.Support Programme Managers and Project Managers in the use of local processes & systems and departmental processes & systemsSupport of RAID management to assess RAID and establish areas of challenge to drive best practice and early warning to Portfolio to assist with driving project success

Looking for an experience Senior PMO analyst to performance Programme office activities and improving processes with excellent attention to detail. Previous experience working within a Portfolio Office a must. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing environment. Strong communicator who can drive people towards deadlines, working within process but demonstrating flexibility when required. Logical and analytical approach to problem solving. Proficient in powerpoint, excel, Word, Service Now, MSP

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Educated to degree level or equivalentPrevious experience in a commercial environment with previous experience specifically in a Project Office / Project Management role, preferably in an IT environmentIn depth understanding of Project Office best practice including budget control, resource management, governance and control implementation and management, scheduling, change control, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management, report development and deliveryProficient knowledge of Project & Programme Management industry best practice and methodologyExcellent working knowledge of Office products, particularly Excel with an ability to create and manage medium complexity spreadsheet solutionsCoaching skillsStrong standard of written communication, with strong presentation skillsData management and principles experience, having delivered data quality improvements in previous rolesProven ability to analyse a broad range of management information, identify recommendation actions and develop reports that drive improvementAbility to develop, innovate and actively improve programme office processesCommitment and tenacity to deliver programme office objectivesAble to build productive working relationships, with strong influencing and persuasion skillsProactive and resilientDemonstrates the Client Behaviours and Core Values
