The Financial Ombudsman Service was set up by Parliament to remedy unresolved complaints between consumers and financial businesses. Fairness is at the heart of what we do and we play a key role in enhancing consumer protection and confidence in financial markets. In 2017/18, we provided answers to over 400,600 people who needed help with problems across a range of products and services - from investments, insurance and banking, to credit, debt and mortgages. From April, our remit will extend to cover complaints about claims management companies and complaints from larger small and medium sized enterprises.

You'll join us at a pivotal point as we enter the next phase of our transformation journey, where your impact will be significant. You'll have the opportunity to help shape innovation in this newly created executive role, with responsibility for designing, leading and managing our technology, data, and information functions. You'll join an executive management team, who have collective responsibility for delivering our strategic goals and bringing them to life for everyone who works here.  You'll have the opportunity to design our IT function, while keeping customer focus at its heart. You'll determine the vision and strategy for technology as an integral part of our overall strategy, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, and bringing people with you.

You'll have experience in leading and managing technology digital solutions and information, preferably in large, complex organisations. You'll also have managed technical and business projects, taking responsibility for commercially sound decisions, deadlines, expenditure and staff development.

Your experience in creating a cohesive, high performing team and taking a lead in developing and delivering strategy is key. Building strong stakeholder relationships at a senior level is second nature to you and your knowledge in advancements in technology is critical to help design our longer term plans.

If you're excited about the opportunity this all brings, then we would like to hear from you.
