Web Developer / PHP Developer - Job Specification

My client is currently in the process of looking for an experienced and talented individual to join their well-established team of web developers. This is varied role which will be working on a multitude of projects such as Back Office Systems, through to Corporate Websites and Specialist Claims Management Systems. For the right candidate, there will be an expectation to develop on a LAMP/WAMP system using front end Javascript and CSS Skills to produce systems to a highly proficient and professional standard.

The purpose of this role is working with the web development team to develop systems and websites to ensure deadlines and lead times are confirmed and met on a consistent basis. You will also be responsible for back office systems and maintenance duties as well as liaising with clients to understand requirements and creating specifications and quotations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

*Building database driven systems using LAMP/WAMP stack. (With experience using PHP 5 and 7, both procedurally and object orientated)

*Testing works of other developers and providing accurate feedback and reports on your findings.

*Using Normalisations to create databases and database tables.

*Creating page layouts from design using CSS

*Keeping OWASP security practises in mind to mitigate against developing vulnerabilities within websites and systems.

*Controlling and managing projects throughout the process from conception of idea, through to delivery, inclusive of aftercare.

*Liaising and collaborating with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and further management to ensure delivery is met as per specifications and on time.

*Extensive knowledge of Nameservers, Configuring Domain Names, and DNS.

*Management and maintenance of Linux Servers.

*A minimum of 3 years' experience working within PHP Web development.
