SQL DBA / Database Administrator (SQL MySQL MariaDB Linux AWS). Hugely successful SaaS software house that is disrupting the business telephony market with its advanced Cloud based solution is seeking a skilled SQL DBA to be responsible for building and maintain SQL databases with a focus on automating wherever possible. You'll be contributing and delivering against strategic initiatives and will own the problem balancing, quality, deployment speed and cost. You'll be working in a collaborative environment with three other DBAs, actively sharing knowledge and best practice.
The company is technology driven environment with regular hack-a-thons, coding katas, lunch and learn, training courses and conferences as well as making contributions to the open source community. Excellent opportunity to work with cloud based (AWS) services and continually improve your skills.
Based in Basingstoke with a regular shuttle bus to a mainline train station and parking available.
*Strong SQL Database Administration skills with a desire to use MySQL going forward such as MariaDB
*Familiar with Linux OS
*Strong analysis and problem solving skills
*Collaborative team member with strong communication skills
*Passion for technology and the Open Source community
*Nice to haves: AWS, scripting, Couchbase, Redis, NewRelic, CloudWatch, Papertrail, StatsD, ElasticSearch, Logstack, Kibana, Grafana
