The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist all age, outpatient only mental health Trust with a focus on Training and Education alongside a full range of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Psychological Therapies. Our contribution is distinctive in the importance we attach to social experience at all stages of people's lives, and our focus on psychological and developmental approaches to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of mental ill health.

An exciting opportunity within busy, high-volume and friendly National Workforce Skills Development Unit awaits the right candidate. The Unit supports and facilitates the development of mental health and learning disabilities workforce. In doing so, the Unit specifies, manages, and is accountable for national projects with a national focus on strategic workforce issues throughout the NHS in support of the NHS part of its Five Year Forward View.

Reporting to the Programme Lead, you will provide effective project management and development of all functions and associated workstreams, while ensuring alignment of systems, processes and resources, all to support the delivery of the Unit's projects. You will have full project life ownership: scoping, initiation, delivery, implementation, administration and evaluation. It is expected that you will work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment while demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence. You will help to minimise cost and implementation risks, liaising with the team and diverse groups of stakeholders to ensure effective communication and governance. You will also work with senior leads to ensure the projects' objectives are turned into tangible deliverables. You will be expected to deliver progress reports, proposals, and other required documentation to various audiences, including project team, internal and external sponsors and key stakeholders.

To be successful in this challenging role, you will have demonstrable experience of delivering multiple projects and managing large disparate groups of internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of NHS and social care would be helpful. You will need to be able to work in a collaborative fashion and respond to different perspectives while taking a cross-organisational perspective. A flexible approach is essential to support the priorities that may alter within the projects life cycles. You will be required to respond quickly to changes in processes while suggesting ideas to improve service which means that the role may develop and change overtime according to the Unit's demands. Any specific responsibilities will be agreed and set at review meetings. Our fast-paced and supportive environment will offer you flexible working arrangements and opportunities for training and development.

If this sounds like the right position for you, we would love to hear from you.
