Senior Quantity Surveyor Senior Quantity Surveyor | City of London | Main ContractorI am looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for in the residential, commercial, industrial and leisure sectors. This established contractor has been trading for almost two centuries and have an outstanding reputation within the construction industry, employing almost 2500 staff.They have recently acquired a mixed-use scheme of over £100m and a 250-unit residential project of just under £250m, both based in Central London, and urgently require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to start immediately.The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor should be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of a Senior Quantity Surveyor role and must have a proven track record of managing and delivering Senior Quantity Surveying services from inception to completion on residential projects. Key ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role may include but will not be limited to:Line management and when appropriate integrate new team membersProvide commercial input including financial and contractual performance to the management team.Prepare monthly cost/value reports for area, together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team membersProduce commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team membersAgree certification and payment of subcontractor accounts - monitoring such accounts against forecastsPhysical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractorsManage subcontractors including sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account and paymentAssess, review, mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement the company's policies for risk management Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position: Hold a degree in a relevant fieldHold a full UK Drivers LicenceMust have experience training junior staff and leading a commercial teamIdeally experienced working for large main contractors in a similar roleRecent experience working under the JCT form of contract is essential.Confident IT skillsIt is essential you are a well-presented and organised Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong communicative skills.We are looking for personable team players!
