GCP DevOps/Platform Engineer - £550 - £750 per day - Contract - London

Jefferson Frank are currently representing one of the UKs most established tier 1 banks, who are migrating the majority of their applications & data to GCP. This is set to be one of the largest migrations in the UK, meaning you'll be starting a 6 month rolling contract which is likely to last for 2 years. They are looking for numerous experienced devops/platform engineers (GCP) to come on board.

As a GCP Platform Engineer, you'd be responsible for:

- Writing server side code for Google Cloud Platform based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.

- Build, design and implement scalable cloud-based web applications for PaaS, IaaS or SaaS.

- collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to streamline or improve adoption of Google Cloud Platform.

As a GCP Platform Engineer, you'll be part of a technical team to implement a cloud solution to support the bank. This will require all dimensions of cloud architecture including:

* Building, migrating and testing GCP environments and integration with other providers

* Designing end to end application migration strategy and would be responsible for the following

o Security & Compliance

o IAM

o Networking

o Load Balancing

o DevOps + Terraform

o Distributed Message Broker

o Monitoring & Logging

o Distributed Cache

o Distributed Database

o Containers & Orchestration

o Deployment and Scaling

o Fault Tolerance and throttling

o Service Catalog

o SaaS Integration
