My client are a Public Sector organisation who currently need a Contract Digital Delivery manager to cover a critical role on a 3 month basis with a possibility to move into a full permanent position at the end of the contract duration.

As the Digital Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the support of the digital team on a number a key development projects during a period of change within the service.

This role requires a Digital Delivery Manager with strong levels of experience in delivering and maintaining a number of different products and services throughout the entire delivery life-cycle.

Your main responsibilities are as follows;

* Assist development teams to organise and plan their work effectively, ensuring delivery of products and services that meet the needs of the user

* Lead through all phases of the delivery life-cycle

* Full responsibility for the effective delivery of complex and high-risk products and services

* Identify and effectively communicate risks, issues, dependencies and blockers

* Lead the development team from the front and set the pace needed to ensure the team are working towards delivery commitments.

* Identify the right skills, people, resources and budget that the teams need to deliver to agreed goals

* Implement and Embed the use of JIRA within the development team

* Work closely with both the Digital & ICT programme managers to effectively plan the Q1 19/20 roadmap

* Prepare the team for the appointment of the permanent delivery manager

With regards to your skill set and ability you will have a technical understanding of;

* Agile and Lean tools / techniques (Such as Kanban and Scrum) with an ability to coach both within and outside teams

* Strong communication skills, in particular, engaging senior stakeholders.

* Able to navigate complex issues and solve problems.

* Effective estimations on budget / resource management within the constraints of a project

* Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams within a Matrix environment
