In a nutshell

This role will be a hands-on engineering lead with strong software architecture and programming skills, and DevOps/CICD platform and tooling experience.

Can you work closely with other colleagues to transform the way our delivery teams' work, using agile, lean and DevOps principles and practices and providing deep technical guidance?

You'll embed continuous improvement methodologies into our delivery and capability teams and drive the emerging maturity level of the teams.

You'll help build a collaborative culture based on "High Trust, Low Blame" values. You'll help them become autonomous teams that have mastery of their domains and contribute directly to our purpose.

Day to day

You'll be passionate about coaching the DevOps Self-service team, accelerating the learning of Devs, Testers and Ops across our Delivery Partners

You'll care about participating in relevant communities of practices across the organisation

Act as a domain expert in the DevOps space and have a solid grasp of the roadmap, trends and industry practices. You'll be the resource for direction, training and mentorship.

Help iterate and mature the Multispeed Delivery Framework

Co-own quality assurance including establishing metrics and ensure the tools are in place to provide the required level of feedback to the delivery team

You'll drive improvement, efficiency and innovation by assessing, piloting, building DevOps tooling and services to improve overall developer experience and productivity

Collaborate with delivery teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and high performance solutions that enable development teams to move faster

Take ownership of issues experienced by our on and off shore Delivery Partners (TCS in the first instance) that require either a VAA resolution or a VAA decision

About you

You'll have in-depth of experience and knowledge implementing DevOps pipelines in the MS Azure stack (infra, app, data) with both native and non-native source control, development, testing, delivery, collaboration and configuration tools.

We'd also love you to have experience integrating unit testing, static analysis, code coverage and security tooling within the CI/CD framework and fostered adoption of a "quality at source" mentality within the team

Experience providing operational support of live production deployments, attending triage sessions and working with the delivery team to get issues resolved swiftly is also required.

All the better if you can have previously implemented DataOps into CICD pipeline (schemas, stored procedures, triggers, configs, masked test data etc. particularly within an ETL/Analytics/Dimensioning context)

Whilst we love the techy stuff we don't just work with and people and how we work together with them is just as important. Working across a broad range of colleagues and participating in architecture planning sessions means you'll be a confident communicator and able to adjust your style to the needs of the audience. You'll naturally build strong working relationships and can communicate, thrive as part of a team and be customer focussed.
