And now, we're looking for natural problem solvers to join our Service Operation Centre (SOC) and support HM Government - both in the UK and abroad. Our SOC department helps deliver enterprise grade applications and services for wider government. To keep up with ever-evolving demands, we're now updating existing technologies and replacing legacy applications. With this large modernisation programme taking place, it's an exciting time to join. As a part of our Application Support Team, you'll develop, maintain and support core business solutions (in line with our technology roadmap). Building, testing and implementing significant system enhancements, you'll also be involved in projects from beginning to end. In fact, you'll lead and co-ordinate large-scale Problem investigations. By proactively identifying opportunities to optimise our systems performance, you'll become a key player in ensuring our Government's communication systems are reliable and totally secure. With a genuine curiosity for tech, you'll bring a range of tech skills and perhaps have specialist knowledge in a certain area. We'll expect you to have experience in these areas: Experience with current versions of MS Windows Server Operating Systems. Good knowledge of current versions of MS Exchange Server. Experience delivering customer services in a technical environment - from project through to live services. Proficiency in MS Active Directory administration, Group Policies and concepts. Experience with task automation with PowerShell. Not only will you provide us with integral advice and technical input, you'll also share your knowledge with less experienced IT System Engineers.
