A specialist technical architect is required design to oversee the design and initial build of Government data management processes and dependent Tech Command projects. Design management and governance is a key requirement for delivery of the project, which aims to transform the way the agency deals with data underpinning the agency's strategy and target operating model.

The Role

* Governance of architectural design, to ensure it is aligned with strategic objectives and complies with statutory and relevant control strategies.

* Development of data architectural blueprints and management of the project through the EASE assurance process.

* Lead on professionalization of use of data and provide guidance and assistance to internal departments and partner agencies on data science

* Manage and coach staff and develop staff in new ways of working with data.

All deliverables will be produced to a quality standard aligned to industry recognised requirement management practice.

Skills Transfer method:

* Coaching of staff in new skills

* Production of architectural blueprints

* Implementing professionalization of data use

Key Skills / Experience

* Architectural leadership - Experience in an Architecture role specialising in Data Architecture, Data Platforms and Advanced Analytics, leading within an IT Change/Transformation Programme. Previous experience with large scale SOC data architecture highly desirable.

* Design experience - Experience in practicing data architecture in projects and programmes. Especially useful if in a law enforcement background, dealing with cloud-based approaches for government financial data. Previous knowledge of Law Enforcement secret systems and SOC datasets is also highly desirable.

* Technical knowledge - Knowledge of multiple data solutions in the cloud or on premise. Experience in data engineering and exploitation tools.
