Position: Senior Node.js Backend Developer
Location: London
Salary: £75000 - £85000 per annum

We are a small startup, so you will have an immediate impact on both the Android team and the company as a whole.
As an addition to the backend and web team, we are looking for someone who is passionate about clean and well-architected code. You would contribute to both the backend API and potentially the front-end occasionally.
As a backend developer you will:
o Develop and extend the reach of our existing applications for the backend platform.
o Collaborate with our product owner to deliver features and continue to optimise their performance post-release.
o Develop and produce functional solutions in accordance with architecture design standards and code standards.
o Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
o Take part in code reviews for other developers
o Contribute to continuous improvements in the team resulting in greater efficiency, quality, and productivity
What we are looking for:
o 4+ years of experience in backend/server-side development
o Comfortable coding in Node.js
o Quality-led approach to development (TDD and BDD)
o Security conscious, knowledgeable of best practices around building secure applications
o Comfortable in a cloud computing environment (AWS)
Bonus points for:
o Knowledge of serverless or FaaS paradigm
o Experience with AWS
o Comfort being full-stack, especially Knowledge of React / Redux framework
o Worked as part of Agile, Scrum, XP or Kanban teams
o Oauth authentication
o Quality-led approach to development (TDD and BDD)
o Security conscious, knowledgeable of best practices around building secure applications
o Comfortable in a cloud computing environment (AWS)
Working Hours:
o 9.30 - 5.30
