IT Manager, fantastic client with a great location! As the IT Manager, this role will see you take complete control of the clients IT and be the point of contact for all IT work.

The IT Manager will install, manage and make improvements to the computer systems and network. As well as supporting users and protecting the IT infrastructure. This is an exciting role for the IT manager to take ownership of the full IT infrastructure.

Key Tasks:

-Maintenance and management of Windows workstations

-Software (OS and applications) deployment

-Troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve problems

-Management and backup

-Maintenance and management of the network and servers (Linux and Windows)

-Software updates and back-ups

-General tasks -database backups etc

-Manage the IT equipment including stock and installation etc

-Security audits and failure analysis

-IT strategy and maintaining documentation

-Support to internal users

Key Skills and Experience:

-An IT professional with circa 5 years of experience within IT infrastructure management and support

-Circa 3 years' experience within a Linux Environment

-Circa 3 to 5 years of experience within a Windows Environment (Server & Workstations)

-Experience of managing Active Directory and/or OpenLDAP directories.

-Experience of networking and security.

-Experience of backup technologies

-Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Desirable skills:

-Knowledge of a programming Language (C, C++, python, Shell, Skill, TCL, Perl)

-Knowledge of a web development languages is a plus (PHP, python, HTML)
