2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, Apps Team, £30,000DOE

One of the North West's leading Managed Service Providers based in Manchester are looking to hire a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team.

To be the right person for this role, you will need a solid managed services background in a 2nd Line position and have the ambition and drive to want to move into 3rd line in the future.

The tech:VMware 5.5/6.0/6.5/6.7Server hardware HP/Cisco UCS/DellBack-up and disaster recovery - SRM/VeeamSAN Storage (any vendor)NetAppHyper-VSQL AdminExposure to networking - routers and switchesUnderstanding of ITILYour role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be providing 2nd line Service Desk support and technical leadership to the team's junior members, helping prioritise tickets.
You will be one of the points of technical escalation for support cases and contribute to investigating problems.
You will be required to take part in the on call rota.

Salary - £30,000 DOE
