£40,000 to £45,000 + £2,000 On-Call + O/T + Bonus + Home Working + Benefits

Renowned Global Services organisation is in the process of expanding their Network and Infrastructure Services Team right here in Solihull and are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer.

This role is biased towards networking however, there is a specific requirement for this Engineer role to have solid Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop expertise also.

As a member of the Team you will contribute to the development, optimisation and adherence of operational processes, toolsets and procedures, and actively participate in Projects, Problem Management and Change Management initiatives.

As the Infrastructure Engineer you will have the skills to carry out complex technical tasks, and the expertise to confidently deal with both internal and external customers, offering suitable advice across a variety of situations.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Services a strong technical background is essential, and you will be a "tenacious completer" that is proactive and assertive to manage challenging situations, making the right decisions in a structured and controlled manner.

With a solid track record and experience across network and infrastructure installation, configuration and maintenance, your technical and operational skills will consist of:

* LAN/WAN Communications expertise

* Network Security, Wi-Fi & Firewalls, ASA, Checkpoint

* Juniper expertise highly desirable

* Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN Communications

* Professional (CCNP) Certification or equivalent in the relevant field of expertise

* Telecommunications including VOIP networking via Avaya or Mitel & Cisco Call Manager

* Experience configuring and managing network elements

* MS OS, configuration and functionality for Windows 10 (install, modify, troubleshoot)

* PC and mobile device hardware, component replacement, updating, fault finding.

* MS Active Directory functionality, group policy creation and maintenance

* Supporting MS Server operating systems and administration

* Support and Administration of MS Office 365 and/or Azure

* Supporting MS Exchange and migration of MS Exchange 2007 to Exchange Online

* Experience of device build and deployment platforms (SCCM / MDM /MDT)

* ITIL Foundation Level as a minimum

* Planning and scheduling of all Change Requests and routine maintenance activities for the team

* Carry out Root Cause Analysis activities for the team.

* Plans and schedules proactive communications for Customers, Business Engagement Teams, Projects and other IT Departments

* Able to provide technical network installations and testing according to design documentation and project planning.

* Experience within a mature Shared Service or Commercial IT Services operation

* Confident in fault diagnosis across customer networks and experience of rectifying faults within strict SLAs.

Experienced in the monitoring and maintenance of internal IT networks, systems and perimeters.

* Access List / Firewall administration.

* Excellent customer focus skills with a service-orientated approach
