Job purpose & responsibilities

As a Build Engineer you will work directly within the Build Services team to assist in the delivery of new, migration of existing and decommission of server infrastructure within the Corporate environment, to support and ensure both Project deliverables and Business needs are met. The day to day function will include:

* Reporting to the Release and Delivery manager responsible for the Build Services team.

* Manage and be accountable for the delivery of workload from both a team and individual perspective, managed from a team work queue within SPARK (Service Now).

* Ensure work delivered within governance and controls laid out within Build Services processes.

* Work within team to continually maintain and develop existing processes.

* Identify and assist in improving and simplifying operational processes via streamlining and automation.

* Engage with both Customers and Stakeholders as required around delivery of corporate infrastructure.

Candidate profile requirement:

* Experience and/or knowledge of various infrastructure elements including Server Hardware, Server Operating Systems, Network elements (IP/DNS), Monitoring.

* Experience and understanding of ServiceNow (SPARK) or equivalent work management tool.

* Analytical and problem-solving skills/experience.

* Good communication and relationship management skills and an ability to engage clearly with both customers and stakeholders at all levels.

* Willingness and ability to work in a fast-moving dynamic team-oriented environment

* Motivation to develop and grow skills and knowledge in line with role.
